A Quick Guide to Buying and Selling

Buying:

Please take a look at the Store page of the sellers of the items you are interested in to verify that they can ship to your country, and what their payment, shipping and refund terms are. EverythingClivia.net is just a marketplace platform for buying and selling and has no responsibility for or involvement with the actual items being sold here.  Please take a look at the feedback ratings of sellers. While a lack of feedback is normal for new sellers, a significant percentage of bad reviews is often cause for concern.

Selling:

Anyone can sell clivia related items here. In order to sell, you must open a store. To do this, select "store" from your account menu and select the subscription plan you are interested in.

All sellers must select and pay for a subscription plan. This is required so that we know that you are not a "robot" or "spambot" but rather a real entity. The basic subscription plan is just a few dollars and provides you will all of the key selling features.  There are higher level subscription plants with higher fees that provide premium seller benefits, like watermarking you photos automatically with the text you desire, and featuring your store on the website.

Getting Help:

On your user dashboard there is a trouble ticket system that will allow you to ask questions and get answers. This system will document questions and answers by date so that you can easily review past and current questions and issues.

Site Fees:

There are no buyer Site Fees associated with buying, but there are small Site Fees for using EverythingClivia.net to sell items. These Site Fees are listed in the Site Fees section of the website, which you can find at the bottom of the home page. If seller Site Fees are not paid, your account may be disabled.  Please not that Site Fees are fees that are paid to Ashen Farms, LLC AKA EverythingClivia.net for the use of its platform.

Payment Methods:

EverythingClivia.net Site Fees can be paid using paypal,  credit card, money order, check or cash (yes cash can be legally mailed and insured in the United States). Checks and Money Orders should be made out to Ashen Farms, LLC.

In terms of paying individual sellers, they payment methods they accept will be listed on the items being offered for sale. Please verify that the seller can ship items to your shipping address before bidding or buying. Also keep in mind that if you are importing items that their may be additional fees from customs, import brokers and other regulatory entities.

Failure to Pay Sellers:

Please do not bid or buy unless you are confident that you are able to pay promptly. Non-payment is grounds for account deactivation as well as being blocked from future participation.

Shipping:

Sellers should take special effort to make sure that items are shipped with care. Plants can be fragile, seeds can be crushed and shipping services are not always reliable. Please check the weather and temperatures at both the buyer and sellers locations to makes sure that extreme temperatures are not an issue. Clivia can roast in hot boxes and they can freeze when temperatures dip below 32 F.

Sellers should consider having heat packs and chill packs available when temperatures are risky.

All shipments should include tracking information. Sellers who ship without tracking information will have no way to prove that an item was delivered. As well, carrier insurance is also a very good idea. Some insurance may be included with the shipping fee automatically depending on the carrier and service you use. If you are using USPS in the USA for example there is automatically $100 USD worth of insurance.

Plants can bounce around in boxes very easily. It is a good idea to make sure there is padding and also that they are strapped in with tape for example.

Tape as Wrapping

Some tape is very difficult to remove. There is little advantage to using such tape when wrapping plants to put them in a box. Painters tape is just as effective for this purpose and does not risk plant damage as the buyer attempts to unwrap the plant.
